TCFC VIII - A success!
Portland, Oregon, the city many urban planners and environmentalists
consider to be the gem of the United States, hosted this years TCFC VIII
(Towards Car Free Cities VIII) conference. The international conference on carfree
cities, held June 16-20, 2008, was reported to be a big success. Gus Yates, President of CarFree City, USA attended the conference. If you weren't able to attend, conference proceedings are available online at the Carfree Portland website.
