CarFree City, USA: The Organization
CarFree City, USA is a non-proft, 501 (c)(3) organization. It was founded in the fall of 2003 by Gus Yates and David Ceaser.  Mr. Yates is a hydrologist by profession and Mr. Ceaser a teacher.  Both of them work on advancing the goals of CarFree City, USA as much as they can.  It is their hope that sufficient funding will come so that they can leave their day jobs and dedicate themselves completely to CarFree City, USA.  To find out more about our organization, please read our annual reports.

Our Mission
Our mission is to promote carfree development that enhances local and global environmental quality, improves personal health, and fosters a sense of community -- simply by minimizing the use of cars. Our specific goal is to create the first carfree city, town or large neighborhood in the United States.
